Yelo is a rides network that costs less and gives you a reason to go. We use our ride data to build products that create connection and meaningful IRL experiences. As AVs expand supply and push ride prices down, we’re focused on a bigger question: what can we build around the ride that makes going somewhere more valuable?

If we want to lead the disruption of Gen Z mobility, we need to be built by our generation. Mobility has seen little Gen Z innovation. We were the youngest founders on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list by four years. Now is the time.

The Role

We’re looking for a product-focused software engineer to build and refine Yelo’s social features, from Bump and friend invites to Moves, venue tools, and new consumer products.

You’ll help decide what to build and how it should work, then ship, learn, and iterate. We want someone with strong engineering skills, an eye for design, and opinions about what makes a product worth using and sharing.

You’ll need taste and a passion for consumer products. You should be AI-native, comfortable using AI throughout your workflow, prototyping beautiful interfaces in tools like Paper, and using PostHog to understand what people use and where they get stuck.

Your focus will entirely be on building and iterating social and network effect based features.
